海軍大尉の大礼服。モデルは山階宮武彦王の軍令部出仕参謀大尉時代(大正14年～昭和4年)。肩章は昭和2年12月に改定される以前のもので、房は大尉からつくがこのころは細い外側房(3分3厘およそ10mm、後に4分4厘になる)が多いもの(22本、後に17本になる)となっている。袖丈が足りないのは勘弁。
Japanse navy lieutenant full dress. These epaulets` rank insignia obey the regulation before 1927. Although this tail coat style full dress was enacted in 1873 with 20 buttons, they were reduced to 16 buttons in 1904. The photo model is Prince Yamashina Takehiko as a staff officer.
